Training
Curriculum Mapping training can be compared to a multi-faceted diamond. Your learning organization may be interested in one or more facets, such as: Why map? What are the various types of maps? What is the best manner for developing the various types of maps? What is involved in quality map writing? What is involved in the Seven-Step Review Process? What are Essential Questions and how do they fit in? What should we consider concerning cultural change and meeting differently? Each facet takes time to learn and fully comprehend.
To ensure sustainability and self-sufficiency in a learning organization, specialized instruction and coaching in various facets oftentimes begin with training established Curriculum Mapping intra-organizations (i.e., Curriculum Mapping Cadre, Cabinet, and Councils). These members, in turn, play a part in training the remaining teachers throughout a learning organization. Dependent on where you are in your journey, your training focus or focuses can vary, as well as who participates in the training. The best approach for determining your learning organization’s personal training needs is to e-mail me or call me so that we can discuss your current level of implementation.
If desired, you may want to complete the Curriculum Mapping Needs Survey and e-mail or FAX the completed survey to me.
