After attending the Curriculum Mapping Institute in Utah, our
entire administrative team agreed Janet Hale was the consultant we
wanted to guide our district in our curriculum mapping efforts.
Janet’s in-depth knowledge, practical approach, sensitivity, and
humor have served us well as we have taken our journey. She is
able to take the theory of curriculum mapping and present the
concepts in a practical context for all grade levels and all
content areas.

the implementation process with Curriculum Mapping. She has been
our guiding light and inspiration! She has gone above and beyond

Janet has been our lighthouse ever since we met
her in the summer of 2003 at the National Curriculum Mapping
Conference. There are so many days, weeks or months we felt lost
at sea with our curriculum mapping initiative and Janet turned on
the light and led us to where we needed to be. Her knowledge of
all areas of curriculum and curriculum mapping, as well as all
that goes along with a positive change in education has been
awesome for our district!

Janet is a breath of fresh air. She has helped the
teachers of our Diocesan schools see the big picture in terms of
curriculum while at the same time helping them step-by-step
through the mapping process. Janet is honest about the time
commitment to mapping, but presents the process in such a way that
no one is over-whelmed. She makes it clear that maps are living
documents and are always evolving. The purpose of mapping is
students, and Janet is exceptional in helping teachers keep
focused on that goal.

Janet was instrumental in launching and
implementing curriculum mapping in our district. Without her
guidance and support we could not have gotten this initiative off
the ground. I truly appreciate her support, insight and expertise
in moving us forward.

Director of Educational Services
Creighton School District

Our district began the mapping process two years
ago. After conducting initial training sessions with our teachers, we
were well into our first phase of mapping. We were eager to bring
a consultant into the district to give us a perspective on what
had to be put in place to help us move to the next phases of
curriculum mapping. We were able to schedule Janet to address our
principals and teachers to provide a deeper knowledge about how to
proceed with mapping. She offered insight as to what was working
and what was not. She played an important role in our district at
a time when we needed direction and experience from someone who
could assess our status and describe what should happen next. Her
insights moved us toward our goal of an aligned and
well-articulated curriculum. Thanks Janet!

Janet is like a compass. You tell her what you

I hate giving 5's (5 = Best possible rating
score). It goes to the presenter's head!! Anyway, I had to give
Janet a 5. This was, by far, the most useful session so far!
Excellent!
